Welcome to Women at Walnut Creek! We are devoted to helping the women at our church come to know Christ and each other in a deep and personal way. We are striving to learn to love and serve one another as Christ has loved and served us. All of the events that we do are centered around this goal: to truly know the love that Christ has for us and to turn and show that love to each other. So, whether it’s a baby shower for a new mom, a much needed retreat with each other, or even something as seemingly silly as a dinner and movie night, we hope that you experience the love of Christ and the fellowship and acceptance of His family through us.
Listed below are many ways to get involved in the daily life with Women at Walnut Creek:
Weekly Women’s Bible study: Every Wednesday we gather in the cafe at Walnut Creek for a study through Genesis. Childcare is provided from 9:15-11:45. Everyone is welcome to come and fellowship with each other as we grow together in our love for Christ! Contact person: Abby Hutto (abby_hutto@yahoo.com or 614.899.2951).
Shower team: Please join us as we plan wedding and baby showers for the women who attend Walnut Creek. This is a great way to love each other in a practical way! If you are interested in serving on this team in any way, please let us know. Contact people: Brenda Bye (bryn8245@comcast.net) and Jane Reinard (jhandmadecreations@yahoo.com).
Quarterly Socials team: We want to get together for a fun event once every quarter! It’s important to spend time with one another (and with out our kids!) every once in a while. This is a great way to get to know each other better and foster deeper relationships with the women at our church. If you are interesting in helping to plan these events, please contact Amy Lay (blay@insight.rr.com).
Special Events team: This team is responsible for planning our retreats/seminars. We are have a retreat once a year. If you are interested in helping to plan these types of events, please contact Abby Hutto (abby_hutto@yahoo.com or 614.899.2951).
